Ok, there's no turning back on this now. Bring it on full steam ahead. I'm ready for it. I can handle anything mother nature can dish at me from the Spring direction.

This is one of my favorite views of the city. Taken from The Link between Union Station and Crown Center just over Main Street. I think I could stand there for hours but then I think I would get tired of standing and there are no benches in The Link so I would probably leave and go look at something else.

When Stacy Downs of the Kansas City Star came to my office to do this article, I didn't realize it would be more of a people piece than a piece on my business, Renewal by Andersen. Had I known that, I could have given her so much more to work with.
I was off by two when I told her I read 56 books in 2008 but was factual in wanting to reduce my reads for 2010. My goal this year is to read just 12 books which is stressing me out. If I'm only going to read 12, I've got to read with purpose and get the biggest bang with each book. Then I'm going old school and writing a book report on each. My thought here is that I want to get more out of the books I'm reading.
I'm disappointed that Stacy mentioned my Son but missed my Daughter but I understand.
I do have a nice collection of hammers in my office. If you have one you'd like to send my way I would display it proudly.

I love these little peppers dipped in hummus. A bowl would make a good meal for me.

I love how everything looks when the sun comes out after an ice storm. When everything is coated with layers of ice and it sparkles like well polished silver. When it's so bright that for a moment you forget that it's blasted cold and nobody in their right mind would want to live in a place like this.
This picture doesn't even capture what I saw but you can see the blades of grass, frozen in ice, reflecting the rays of sunlight.

Poor little spruce. All frozen over.
App: PerfectlyClr then BestCamera with Candy and Square filters then final touches with TiltShiftGen.
Our meetings this week are at The Lodge on the McDonald's campus in Chicago. Large windows in each breakout expose awesome views as the one here.

When you see a self-portrait posted on Hammer365 you'll know I was either stumped or just didn't have enough time in the day. I've got to change from searching for a subject at the end of the day to starting my day searching. Not too bad though, we are 10% through the year and this is my first stump. Yes I have a previous self-portrait but that one was planned.

The snow has all melted away only to reveal the toll my lawn has taken from those dang moles. I had problems with these guys last summer and didn't expect to have to deal with them until later this Spring but as you can see, they are reeking havoc on my lawn.
Is there an easy way to get rid of these rodents? I've got to do something soon.
