Started these chicken quarters and legs in the Dutch oven with some onions, green peppers and sauce. Let 'em cook up for 40 minutes and then finished 'em off on the grill for a few minutes. Knock your socks off!

My gas grill has been giving me fits only burning at half-low on one burner. Because of my newly refound appreciation of charcoal at Mark's house I have been thinking about getting a small charcoal grill that we could take with us to Lawrence for tailgating. So a last week I went out and got an economy grill from the big box and have been practicing in preparation for football season. This sucker actually does a great job. That's smoke from hickory chips billowing.

Nothing like sweet corn on the cob roasted on the grill. A light wipe of EVOO then sprinkled with Tony Chachere's, wrapped in foil just to get most of the cookin' on then unfoiled to get a few grill marks.
